Outings (outing reports) are the heart of information sharing. In addition to making your own list, you share your experiences with other users. Your feedback is especially valuable when it comes to conditions and in situ gear, but feelings and nice pictures are fine as well.
In order to find all the feedback in one place, outings for a specific route are centralized on the Route document. For example, reports for the Mont Blanc standard ascent are all present in the same place. Specific lists of Outings may also be found on Waypoint and Area documents.
Posting a report
To add an Outing, you must have a camptocamp account and be identified. If you do not have an account, sign up for free. Once identified, click the green Add tab >> Add an outing, or use the "Add an outing" link you'll find on a route document.
Before filling in the fields, read the help at the top of the page. For each field, contextual help is available by clicking on the title of the field.
If there is no Route document for your outing, you can create the route.
One may enter an Outing report any time, the day after the outing itself, or years later, but the current conditions are certainly the most important for us all.
You may edit your Outing any time, adding or correcting text, adding images ...
Outings are personal documents. Only you can make changes to your Outing report (eventually, other actors of the actual outing may also participate).
Don't forget to edit (correct) the Route document if necessary.
