Elizabeth Alice Frances Hawkins-Whitshed (1860-1934)
Son nom a changé plusieurs fois au cours de sa vie :

Alpiniste, écrivain, photographe
Dans les Alpes et en Norvège (Chamonix, Courmayeur, Zermatt, Davos, St Moritz, Dauphiné) elle parcourt les montagnes et rencontre les montagnards des temps héroïques, Edouard Cupelin, Joseph Imboden, Whymper, Vittorio Sella ...

En 1883, elle devient membre du Club Alpin Français, Section du Mont-Blanc.
En 1907, elle devient première présidente du Ladies' Alpine Club à Londres.
