Weather
Very nice weather when I started, then got very cloudy, foggy and windy at the summit so no view :( and once I was back down, the summit was sunny and out of the clouds again.
Conditions
very little snow, I think there was more snow in November, and it melted during the day.
I walked a long part of the forest road above Edelweisshuette as it goes up and down for a while with lots of rocks.

Train from Vienna to Wiener Neustadt, then Wiener Neustadt to Puchberg am Schneeberg, then bus. about 1:30 total.

There's a small winter room at the Fischerhuette, and a tiny winter room (two people can fit if they squeeze) at the Heinrich Krempel Huette

Bad conditions, but I wanted to go skiing.
Saw lots of chamois in the forest, around 1500m, the top of the Graben was very nice to ski, but didn't last long.
