Snow, fog, wind... weather turned good when we were back down though.

Started on Saturday, weather was bad: snow + wind + fog. So we stopped at the Voisthalerhütte without going much higher (the plan was to summit first and then spend the night in the hut)

We didn't see anyone going up, but there were 10 people in the hut, with only 3 mattresses. The winter room is small, but we some how managed to fit (2 people slept outside with good sleeping bags).

The weather was supposed to be good on Sunday, but it stayed windy and foggy, turning the snow to cardboard. We turned around at the Schiestlhaus because we couldn't see anything.

We saw quite a few people on Sunday.

Took the train Vienna -> Kapfenberg, and the bus to Seewiesen. Arrived around 9:30, started skiing a few meters from the bus stop.

the Voisthalerhütte is small, but warm. Would have been nicer with less people.

Saw lots of chamois, which is always nice :)
