Sun and clouds, not so much wind

Not so much snow below ~1100m (start of cableway), just enough on the road, but doesn't cover rocks and bushes.

Decent snow until ~1500 (Zellerhuette), and lots of fresh powder between Zellerhuette and Lagelsberg

After Lagelsberg, the summit plateau is wind-blown, not much snow there apart in some holes and gullies. Had to take off the skis once or twice over a few metres.

Train to Linz, then to Klaus/Pyhrnbahn
Bus to Hinterstoder and then to Vorderstoder

All the connections were fast so only 3h from Vienna

Warscheneck is easy to get to from Linz, so it's a popular tour. The snow between Zellerhuette and Lagelsberg is very nice: the forest is not too dense, it's facing north and the slope is wide and around 30-35 degrees, so I went up again to enjoy the last rays of sun.

The summit of Warscheneck has a very nice view, but not so interesting ski-wise.
