Day 2 of a vélo-ski tour in Venediger day 1

Kürsinger Hütte -> up to 2630m, down to 2450m.
Then up to glacier, past the Venedigerscharte, and to the summit.

Skied up to the ridge, last 20m on foot (flat and narrow, kind of pointless to ski there, was no problem on foot)

All the way down to the lake, back to the hut.

After a quick nap and some food, climbed 400m above the hut while waiting for dinner

Sun, sun, sun

Hard snow in the morning, crevesses were filled.
Snow got very soft after 12.00, but there were lots of it

As the hut is on the cliff with the glacier much lower, it adds quite a bit of distance and height, that make the tour longer than it seems.

Lots of people were there, and gave me odd looks as I was alone on the glacier. Most people were roped-up to climb, but all the skiers were without the rope on the way down. In the summer it wouldn't be a good idea to go without the rope, as there are a lot of crevasses.
