3rd and las day of a vélo-ski tour in Venediger: day 1, day2
Kürsinger Hütte up to the ridge. Took off the skis around 3100m, climbed with crampons to the top.
Walked down, and skied back to the ridge. Did a few ups and down to enjoy the morning snow. Then skieed almost to Postalm as the snow had melted (15min walk to Postalm).
Kaiserschmarrn in Postalm, and cycled 66km down the valley to the train station Bruck (next to Zell am See)

Sun, no wind, very hot

Good frozen snow in the morning, soft snow on the ridge (I thought it would have been frozen, so crampons were not necessary) that had a nice track from the day before.

Very soft snow after 12.00, so gave up on skiing and cycled longer in the afternoon. Snow was melting fast below 2000m.

Cycling from Postalm to Bruck (on the Zell - Salzburg line) then train to Salzburg. Bruck is faster to get to, as you don't have to cycle along the lake (as you would going to Zell).

Much less crowded than on Venediger... Only saw two other groups. I didn't realise that the snow was nice in the corridor next to the ridge, as you don't see it from the other side, so I didn't bring my skis to the summit.

Cycling down the valley was really nice, both in the forest along the oberesulzbach and in the main valley (sulzbach): all green with the glaciers in the background.
